The whole August 22nd thing isn't exact because the lunar calendar runs differently from the normal ones.
It kinda changes every year, simple observation can be made from the fact that lunar new year is on a different date every year.
You can't really call it "July 7th" either, would be more appropriate to just say the 7th day of the 7th lunar month.
